Bromo Visitor Quota Increased During Long Holiday

Probolinggo / The number of tourists visiting Mount Bromo during the long holiday of the Islamic New Year 1447 H was overwhelming. In fact, the tourist attraction management increased the quota so tourists could enjoy the beauty of Mount Bromo.

According to data on the BB TNBTS website, for two days, Saturday and Sunday, the number of visitors booked exceeded the normal quota.

The Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park (BB TNBTS) even increased the visitor quota. This increase was effective from Thursday (June 26, 2025) to Monday (June 30, 2025).

“We adjusted the quota increase to reflect conditions on the ground,” explained Hendra Wisantara, Head of the Data Evaluation, Reporting, and Public Relations Team at the TNBTS Center.

The usual visitor quota is 2,752 people. However, the number of visitors who had booked reached 4,232.

“The long weekend in June saw the highest number of visitors, with 4,232 people, compared to the normal quota of 2,752,” he said.

The latest update, based on the official TNBTS website, shows that as of Friday (June 27, 2025), 4,005 visitors had booked. Meanwhile, on Saturday (June 28, 2025), there were 4,370 visitors, with the highest number of bookings on Sunday (June 29), with 4,447.

Mistar, a Bromo tourism entrepreneur, said that businesses should book quickly before the site is completely full. Even if it’s full, prospective visitors will be offered other sunrise destinations, such as Seruni Point.

“If it’s full and there’s a long queue, I’ll offer other spots, like Seruni Point,” he said.
